This little diner was really good. The service was fast and the food was exactly what you'd want from a diner. They leave a whole carafe of coffee at your table! I had the french toast and my fiancé had a waffle. Both were excellent. Definitely would recommend.

This place is a local's best kept secret. There is an extensive menu - breakfast - lunch, omelettes, gyros - you name it! The food is quick, tasty - and this place is so very inexpensive that you could likely eat here regularly on a fixed or retired budget. Sam - the owner, has been serving me breakfast since I was about 2 years old - from the now removed Harry's pancake house - to his new location here at Sam's place. I have never had anything but an outstanding meal and experience here.

I had an excellent experience there with my friend. He recommended it, and I see why. It's a dive, but, you know that's where you get the best food sometimes, right??? Grits were perfect, seriously, the food is good guys :-)!!! Check it out!!!

Our North Myrtle guide herded us to Sam's Place in lieu of the promised "Stacks" pilgrimage which honestly could have been a pancake place or a nudie bar given the plethora of both on highway 17 (tourists hollah!) Located in a strip mall like everything else on the 17, Sam's is a pleasantly crowded, divey diner that has stood as a North Myrtle institution despite the flood of chain domination. Sam's yields a classic menu of diner fare, greasy spoon goodness, and a dollop of deep fried Southern hospitality. This Yankee had the golfer special notable for the inclusion of grits but little else. Eggs florentine seemed to please and the zipcode's entrenched kept murmuring fondness for Sam's. An otherwise average place was made memorable by the dancin'est short order chef I've ever seen. He loves his work. Beware of the dog! Check it out - you'll see what I mean ;)

We went there last Sunday morning and had an excellent experience. The staff was very friendly and the food was delivered hot, fresh, and cooked to order. I didn't catch the man's name who greeted us at the table. I thought he might be Sam, but he said no, he wasn't. An extremely personable individual who meant it when he asked how you were doing that day! I would recommend Sam's to anyone willing to listen. Too many places don't value the customers time or choice of a place to eat.. The people at Sam's know which side of their bread is buttered. Go there and enjoy you breakfast!!!
